Benjamin Prichard's
Double Barreled Bourbon
The high-quality taste of Benjamin Prichard’s Double Barrel Bourbon is no accident. It is created using a unique, labor-intensive process. While bourbon is generally, barreled at a relatively high 125 proof, we reduce the bourbon from its original proof to a proof close to its ultimate bottle proof 90. It is then re-barreled in a second, new charred oak barrel. This reinforces the barrel notes for which bourbon is so famous. To our knowledge there is no other distillery that utilizes this process. Benjamin Prichard’s Double Barreled Bourbon is truly special, capturing the attention of our customers who are virtually demanding that we produce more of this remarkable bourbon.

Prichard's
Lincoln County Lightning
At one of our first public tastings of Lincoln County Lightning, a little old lady gleefully described the taste of her first sip, “It’s just like cornbread in a bottle…with a kick.” There’s no denying the wonderful sweet flavor of white corn, which serves as an integral part of the mash bill for Lincoln County Lightning. Our corn whiskey is straight out of the still, bold yet surprisingly mellow, and recently named the #2 legal moonshine in the USA by Southern Living. A true testament to Tennessee and its famous white corn, Benjamin Prichard’s Lincoln County Lightning is sure to put a pep in your step.

Prichard's Double Chocolate Bourbon
Benjamin Prichard’s Double Chocolate Bourbon is a very serious 90 Proof Bourbon. It begins
with much of the sweetness common to bourbon, however, pure chocolate has a natural
bitterness. To create our Double Chocolate Bourbon, we have attempted to balance the natural
sweetness of the bourbon with the bitterness of the chocolate to produce a better-balanced
bourbon, belying its 90-proof character.
Introducing the small quantity of chocolate into the finish process is intended to influence and
augment that natural hint of chocolate found in good bourbons. A conscious effort is made
however, to not over power the wonderful flavor of our bourbon but simply reinforce the natural
chocolate flavor. In fact, we consider it a complement if those tasting our Double Chocolate
Bourbon can find the flavor absent or faint. It may sound a bit strange but we like to say, “We
don’t want our bourbon to taste like chocolate, but rather our chocolate to taste like bourbon.”
Most important, it is not sweet!

Prichard's Tennessee Whiskey
Five generations ago, when Granddaddy, Benjamin
Prichard passed his "Still, tubs and utensils thereto" to his
son Enoch, his will of 1822 documents the last known
"legal" distillery in the Prichard family. Ben made his
whiskey with a high sugar content, white corn, imparting
a natural sweetness to his whiskey. Pure Tennessee
Spring water, and ancient pot still techniques provide an
accurate recreation of this original Tennessee Whiskey.
