Prichard’s Distillery, the first craft distiller founded in Tennessee in the past 50 years, has opened a second distillery at Fontanel, one of Nashville’s premier destinations. This 186 acre property was formerly owned by Country Music Hall of Fame member Barbara Mandrell, and has developed to include tours of the former Mandrell mansion, dining, lodging, shopping and outdoor activities like ziplines, live concerts, and hiking trails. Prichard’s Distillery adds a unique touch to the Fontanel guest experience.

The new Prichard’s production facility is adjacent to the log cabin tasting center and includes a 400-gallon Alembic copper still custom-designed by Vendome Copper and Brassworks in the style of French cognac. It is the first still of its kind in Tennessee, and using many of the same quality ingredients and centuries-old techniques handed down over five generations of the Prichard’s family, will produce Tennessee Whiskey and an excellent selection of American Rums. Over time, it will be used to experiment with a new line of small batch brandies.
